The Reading Circle began with two friends and one simple belief: every good story deserves a good conversation.
Anna and Katerina have been friends since they were just 13 years old. From teenage conversations to navigating adulthood, their friendship has grown through the years, along with their love for meaningful connections.
Years later, finding themselves back in the same country, a little idea began to take shape.
What if we created a space where people who love books, meaningful conversations, and genuine human connections could come together?
A place where strangers could become friends, stories could spark discussions, and everyone could feel part of something special.
And so, in April 2026, The Reading Circle was born.
What started as a simple idea between two friends became an invitation to build a community, one book and one conversation at a time.

Because sometimes, the best part of finishing a book is sharing it with someone. ♥
Have a book in mind? Bring your suggestion to our next meeting! We pop all the recommendations into a box and randomly draw our next read. No voting, just a little luck!
Before we say goodbye, we choose a date and time for our next gathering that works for most of the Circle.
Once our book and date are decided, we share the details on social media and in our group chat so everyone can join in.
We announce the meeting spot around a week in advance. Then comes the best part: getting together, sharing thoughts, and talking all things books!

every october, the accidents begin
for Cara and her family, october is the accident season — a time when bruises, broken bones and strange misfortunes seem to follow them wherever they go
but this year, as old secrets begin to surface and strange memories blur with reality, Cara starts to wonder whether their annual run of bad luck is really an accident at all

Not at all! Most of our book picks are available in both English and Greek, so you can read in whichever language you prefer. Occasionally, we might choose a book that isn't available in Greek, but we'll always let you know!
Both! Our conversations naturally flow between Greek and English. Feel free to express yourself in whichever language you're most comfortable with. Everyone is welcome!
Absolutely! Whether you've read every page, only a few chapters, or haven't started at all, you're more than welcome. Our Circle is about more than just books. It's about meaningful conversations, meeting new people, and escaping the everyday routine. Just be prepared for a few spoilers!
Of course! We love welcoming new faces. You don't need to know anyone beforehand or have any book club experience. Come as you are, bring your curiosity, and we'll take care of the rest!
Not at all! At each meeting, members can suggest a book they'd love for us to read next. We put all the suggestions into a little box and randomly pick our next adventure. No voting, no pressure, just a little bit of luck!
We meet once a month at different locations around Nicosia! Once we've chosen our next book and meeting date, we share the details on social media and in our group chat. The exact meeting spot is usually announced about a week in advance.
We don't provide the books, but you're free to get your copy however you prefer! 📚 Whether you love the feel of a physical book from local bookstores like Parga or Solonion, prefer reading on your Kindle or another e-reader, or enjoy e-books, the choice is entirely yours.
